I recently received an offer in the mail saying It takes a village now you have one. Undoubtedly it came from Mrs. Clinton’s book It takes a village to raise a child. So what is in a village? Well the first thing that comes to mind is the village idiot. The Bible says The fool hath said in his heart there is no God. So we have a fool in the village who blindly follows science falsely so called and believes ludicrous and unsubstantiated ideas like evolution. This person is usually made the school teacher. I can do without this villager. The next is the village drunk. Of course now a days it may be a dope addict. This villager trys to turn kids on to booze and drugs, often because his high school friends have deserted him because he is such a loser. I will pass on this villager also. What about the village gossip? You know the one who either has no children or has raised brats and insists that no one else knows how to raise them right. Oh especially if you use the Bible as your guide. This one usually works for DHS. I can do without this villager also. Then there is the village pervert trying to entice the underage children and confuse them. I most certainly can do without this villager. Then there is the village blasphemer. This one cannot say three words without a colorful superlative. Also an expert in dirty stories. We all wish he would go away but he gets hot press on every major news outlet. Lastly the village mayor. He wants to take my and your hard earned and honest money to fund these village clowns. How about a man and woman who love each other and raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord? Let the village build roads, haul away garbage, and provide clean water. Let the family raise the child. And the best examples are in a Bible believing and practicing church.
