Many times I ask a person “who is your Saviour “and the answer is almost always Jesus Christ regardless of the denomination . But if I ask the question another way “how are you saved “ the answer comes back quite different.
Let’s look at some answers I get. One says because I am good. Notice the I Am. If you get to Heaven by you being good then you are your savior. Another says his sins are washed away or he is born again by being baptized. If that’s the case then the baptiser is your savior. Some one else says his sins are taken care of by taking the communion. This makes the bread your savior! Another will say his sins are forgiven by confessing to a priest. Then the priest is your savior. Some one tells me he’s going to Heaven because he goes to church. Then the church is your savior. Some will even say that your husband must lift the vail off your face or you will not be resurrected. Then your husband is your savior. Now ask me. I deserve Hell because of my sins and the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and rose again from the dead the third day. I place my trust in this and his precious blood to wash away my sins. I received him as my Saviour by calling on Him to save me from Hell. Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. For by grace are ye saved by faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast.
