Revelation 2:17 says “He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that recieveth it.”
In the Bible names are very important and often match the character of the person who receives it. God changed the name of Abram and Jacob and Jesus changed Simon’s name to Peter. So the thought I would like to leave with you is, based upon your character and life, what will your name on that white stone be? There is the title of a good soldier of Jesus Christ, true yoke fellow, and fellow prisoner. There is also the title of good and faithful servant, blessed of the Lord, and the disciple that Jesus loved. There is also the titles of slothful, proud, worldly, and cold which no one wants. But of all the titles of the Bible the one I think would be the highest honor is the one given to Abraham-the friend of God.
Think of this for a while then determine in your heart to live up to your future name -or change it
